That is good. I still can't believe the Canes aren't in on Kane. Aside from the homonym opportunity, they only have DeAngelo. How can they be a Bunch of Jerks if they only have one?

I've been toying with the idea of getting a smoker. Couple of the things that have kept me from jumping in are the price of a quality smoker (I've read a bunch of reviews of bullet smokers etc. that say that the temp is hard to keep down). Also, and not sure if my paranoia is justified, but I'd like to keep it further into the backyard where I don't have electricity so the smoke isn't billowing into my neighbours' houses.

All fair points, I ran an extension cord under my deck when we extended it and popped up the one end at the edge of very outside edge of the deck where my smoker is. I have a Traeger that my wife spoiled me with on fathers day a couple years ago and got a deal through a friend of ours on. I love it.
It has wifi functionality which is cool as you can adjust, check the temp of the unit itself or (if you use the probe) the meat without even opening it up which helps as anyone who is a big time smoker will tell you opening and closing the lid multiple times isn't ideal as you are losing heat and smoke aka "if your peakin' your leakin'!
As far as smoke billowing around and your neighbours.....all I know is when I fire it up most of mine just magically appear and ask what's being cooked with a bit of drool coming out the sides of their mouths hoping to be invited for a sample. lol
My buddy has his in his garage and fires open his garage door when he uses it - upside is never having to deal with rain or snow while smoking anything, minimize loss of temp when it's really cold out. Possible downside - his garage smells like smoked meat and will always smell that way along with everything in it including his hockey gear.

I've gone waaaaay done the rabbit hole this afternoon, looking at smokers.
I can get a decent one on sale for dirt cheap - less than $250, but it's a bit ugly. The typical black vertical box.
For a bit more, I'm thinking of this:
Propane, so very easy. The red will match our Muskoka chairs, so Mrs. Wedgie will be pleased, and quite frankly it looks a lot nicer.
The bonus is the window - which I think would be very handy, although I fear it will simply grease up or blacken. Been reading reviews, and so far nobody has complained about it.
There's the same model, but uses pellets. A friend has an Ooni pizza oven that uses pellets, and he says it is redonkulously easy, so that may be a solution.
